China Export Exceed USD One Trillion for Four Consecutive Months
On Nov. 11st 2009, the General Administration of Customs released China’s import and export statistical data in the first ten months last year. From January to October, the accumulative total volume of import and export in China’s foreign trade was USD1755.49 billion, down by 19.9 percent over the same period last year. Among them, the export was USD 957.36 billion, with a fall of 20.5 percent year on year and the import was USD 798.13 billion, a decrease of 19 percent year on year. The accumulative trade surplus reached USD 159.23 billion, a decline of 27.2 percent year on year.
Customs statistics showed that in October alone the total import and export volume was USD 197.54 billion, down by 10.7 percent year on year. Among them, the export volume was USD 110.76 billion, with a decrease of 13.8 percent over last October and the import volume was USD 86.78 billion, down by 6.4 percent year on year. Till October, the monthly export volume exceeded USD one trillion for four consecutive months.
