Liaoning’s Steel Exports Volume Exceed 2009 Whole Year
In the first half year of 2010, Liaoning province’s steel exports realized 3.428 million tons, with a rapid growth of 3.8 times year on year and the export volume exceeds the total volume in the whole year 2009. The trade value reached USD 2.26 billion, with an increase of 2.8 times year on year. Of the total, sheets and plates of steel or iron were major export products with the trade value of USD 1537 million, with a sharp rise of 6.6 times year on year, accounting for 68% of the total exports of steel. Exports of Bars and rods and tube or pipe fittings of steel or iron also accounted for large parts. The major destination countries were South Korea, India, EU, Japan and Vietnam.
