Guangdong’s Apparel Exports Realize Restoring Growth  

Statistical data showed that this year Guangdong’s apparel exports have realized a fast restoring growth. In May alone, exports reached USD 3.14 billion, a new high within this year.
In the first five months this year, Guangdong’s apparel exports nearly reached USD 13.0 billion, with a large increase of 15% compared with a year earlier. In which, ordinary trade accouted for 60% and the growth rate was higher than processing trade.
From January to May, apparel exports into Hong Kong realized USD 3.7 billion, up 8% year on year. Exports into EU, U.S. and ASEAN all increased by 20% above. Besides, exports into Middle East went down 3.6% year on year.
