China and Venezuela Co-construct Container Terminal

Venezuelan Ministry of Transport on September 2 signed an agreement on the construction of container terminal in Puerto Cabello with China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) in Honduras, which will be in charge of the construction of the terminal.

Venezuela contains the largest oil and natural gas reserves in South America, and is also one of the major oil producers and exporters in the world. In recent years, as the diplomatic relations and trade between China and Venezuela is getting closer, the export of oil from Venezuela to China keeps increasing.

Located on the south bank of Caribbean Sea, Puerto Cabello is the largest port in Venezuela. Over 70% of cargos in this country are distributed here.
