450km Sea Channel of Hongshui River Starts Construction
The section from Caodu River estuary of Hongshui River to Qiaogong of the sea channel in the Southwest China was launched construction recently.
The section from Caodu River estuary of Hongshui River to Qiaogong is 450.2 km long, starting from the Caodu River estuary where Guangxi Province marches with Guizhou Province. The project is conducted according to the standard of class-4 2-line channel, and is planned to take 3 years. 44 dangerous shoals will be rectified, and there will be a 500-ton port in Tian’e Port and Donglan Port respectively and 30 ferries. The budget of the whole project is 167 million RMB.
This project is an important part of the Xijiang River golden channel. After completion, 500-ton ships can navigate in the Hongshui River, which is of great importance to the development of regions along the river.
