Automobile Imports through Guangdong Port Double in First Two Months  

In first two months, the accumulated imports of automobiles through Guangdong port totaled 17,000 N, a surge of 1.3 times over the same period last year. Guangdong automobile imports maintained two-digit growth for seven consecutive months. Imports in February reached 7822 N, with a substantial growth of 1.1 times, sustaining the momentum of double growth in January.
Automobiles importers through Guangdong port are mainly EU, Japan, USA and South Korea. Among them, automobiles imported from Japan were 6507 N, with an increase of 2.3 times, much higher than import average growth over the same period. Imports from EU and South Korea respectively realized 6776 N and 2554 N, increasing by 1.2 times and 1.5 times. Imports from USA were 1215 N, a drop of 1.2 percent.
